Four teams. One signal. A season of art built on staying awake — to craft, to each other, and to the moment in front of us.
An alert is not an alarm that ends things — it's a signal that something is beginning and worth your attention. That's the brief this year: work that notices. Paintings that catch what a hurried glance would miss. Verses written the moment a thought lands, not after it cools.
Every event on the schedule, on stage or off it, is asked to answer the same question — what does it mean to stay switched on? Alert 2k26 is this year's edition of that work: a fest run by students, for students, judged by craft and carried by four teams built from every batch on campus.
"To stay alert — is to refuse the sleepwalk. Art is our first response to the present moment."

the brief
Stay alert — to the brush before it dries, the line before it's spoken, the room before it goes quiet.
Every team was named for what it means to answer an alert — freedom, truth, effort, or connection.
